A report on our recent HR Round Table event

On Thursday 18th February senior HR leaders from various sectors including hospitality, technology, manufacturing, financial services, retail and support services, joined us to share their experiences and observations of how the role of HR has been impacted due to the challenges of leading through a pandemic.

Employability

PwC have reported that half of all employees will need reskilling by 2025 to remain employable. They have issued a report with the World Economic Forum which outlines four key areas that demand urgent action by governments, businesses and other stakeholders.

Trustee Inspire List

This week the newly formed Trustee Diversity Panel has published its inaugural InspireList of over 60 inspirational trustees from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds. The Inspire List celebrates the achievements of those who have overcome significant barriers to step up as trustees, in a bid to inspire others from underrepresented groups to join them.

Even during the pandemic the UK has seen growth of employee owned businesses. Since 2017 there has been a 50% rise in the number of these organisations. In an employee owned business, each of the employees is a co-owner, with a shared responsibility for the business and a responsibility to put its success first.

Moving into 2021
