Aileen Ryan – New Chair of The Sick Children’s Trust Board of Trustees

The Sick Children’s Trust is a charity dedicated to supporting families with seriously ill children in hospital by providing free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation close to their child’s bedside. Since its founding in 1982, the charity has helped thousands of families stay together during challenging times, offering not only a place to stay but also emotional and practical support.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Aileen Ryan as the new Chair of The Sick Children’s Trust Board of Trustees. Aileen is the President and CEO of the RAIN Alliance, a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to leveraging technology for a smarter, more sustainable future.

Aileen succeeds Paul Jardine, who is stepping down after an incredible nine years of service as Chairman. Under Paul’s exceptional leadership, the charity has navigated challenging times with unwavering dedication, inspiring progress, and steadfast commitment to its mission.

As the first female Chair in the charity’s history, Aileen takes on her role 18 months into the charity’s ambitious five-year strategy. She will lead the charge in advancing our fundraising efforts and driving forward our vision of ensuring every family with a seriously ill child can stay close to their child’s hospital bedside, when it matters most.
