Operational CFO: Europe wide
Our client is a highly successful listed company. A tech business : Cyber Security.
The Role:
Build and run a finance function that enables high-volume, channel-led growth and a security-space roll-up—while keeping the organisation lean and execution fast.
The challenge:
Join a dynamic team to lead a finance team of 2 whilst collaborating with the CEO on an acquisition strategy.
-
M&A engine: target screening, valuation discipline, deal structures (cash/stock/earn-outs), integration playbooks, synergy tracking.
Core responsibilities
-
M&A leadership: pipeline governance, DD (financial/operational), purchase accounting coordination, post-merger integration metrics.
-
Capital markets / investor readiness: narrative + metrics, budgeting, forecasting, audit committee support.
-
Risk & compliance: security SaaS commercial contracts, revenue recognition discipline, tax/VAT across geographies, internal controls.
Ideal profile
-
Entrepreneurial CFO or #2 finance leader who has scaled B2B SaaS (ideally security/IT or channel-heavy).
-
Demonstrated roll-up / acquisition experience (multiple deals), including integration and synergy realization.
-
Comfortable with lean teams, automation, and building “just enough process” without slowing momentum.
-
Strong partner to a founder/CEO: decisive, data-driven, direct communicator, low ego.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Deal structuring instincts (stock vs cash, earn-outs, retention packages).
-
Ability to run finance across multiple jurisdictions (basic comfort with EU/UK/MENA complexity).
-
Board-level communication.
