Having achieved exceptional growth over recent years, the business is entering its next phase of development and is focused on strengthening its organisational capability, leadership infrastructure and people agenda to support continued expansion.

The organisation combines entrepreneurial energy with significant commercial ambition and is seeking an experienced Head of People to help build the foundations required for sustainable scale.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the founders and working closely with the leadership team, the Head of People will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's people strategy during a period of rapid growth and evolution.

This is a highly visible leadership position requiring an individual who can operate strategically whilst remaining hands-on when required. The successful candidate will help professionalise the people function, enhance leadership capability and ensure the business has the talent, structure and culture required to achieve its ambitious growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with founders and senior leaders to develop and execute the people strategy
  • Review organisational design, structures and workforce planning to support future growth
  • Build leadership capability and strengthen management effectiveness across the business
  • Develop succession planning and talent management frameworks
  • Enhance performance management processes and accountability measures
  • Lead employee engagement, culture and retention initiatives
  • Review reward, recognition and benefits strategies
  • Ensure HR governance, policies and compliance frameworks are robust and scalable
  • Support organisational change, transformation and growth initiatives
  • Provide trusted advice and coaching to senior stakeholders

The Individual
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded HR leader with experience supporting ambitious, high-growth organisations.

You are likely to bring:

  • Previous experience as an HR Director, People Director or Chief People Officer
  • A track record of supporting businesses through periods of significant growth, transformation or scale
  • Strong organisational design and change management expertise
  • Experience building high-performance cultures and leadership capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence founders and executive teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how people strategy drives business performance
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within consumer, retail, ecommerce, lifestyle, digital or founder-led businesses would be advantageous
