Interim Financial Controller

1. The Organisation

Our client is an established international manufacturing business with operations across the UK and Europe. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Interim Financial Controller will support a portfolio of international entities, providing strong financial leadership, commercial insight and process improvement within a multi-site environment. Regular travel to UK and European operations will be required.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading monthly financial close and management reporting.
• Producing financial analysis, variance reporting and key performance insights.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Partnering with operational leaders to improve commercial performance.
• Monitoring profitability, cash flow and financial KPIs.
• Maintaining robust financial controls and supporting audit activities.
• Driving improvements to finance processes, reporting and ERP/BI systems.
• Building effective relationships with finance and operational teams across multiple international locations.

3. The Desired Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager with experience in an international, multi-site business.

You will offer:

• 5+ years' experience in financial control, management accounting or audit.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience of ERP systems; Power BI experience is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach to improving financial processes and controls.
• Fluent English, with French language skills beneficial.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe.
