Russam is the longest established Interim Management business and a leading Executive Search firm, and since March 2023 a Certified B Corporation. This certification follows in the wake of our related business, Trustees Unlimited, being re-certified as a B Corp last year.

We have always believed that our purpose is to enable organisations and individuals to thrive, and we have stuck to our word, often transforming the organisations we work with, and supporting people in their leadership journeys. Our mission is to be the leading “profit with purpose” recruitment business in the UK.

Jason Atkinson and Ian Joseph, Managing Directors of both businesses, attended the B for Good Leaders Summit in Amsterdam in May, where they joined over 1,000 other CEOs of social impact organisations including many B Corps. The summit emboldened us to be reach higher and faster and to do all we can to be a leading light in the sectors we operate.

What does that mean in practice? Currently 55% of our client work is for “impact organisations” and “charities/Not-for-profit”. We want to build on this work and be the dominant business in this market. In our B Corp Assessment our score for “workers” was 34.6% – an exceptionally high score which reflects the importance we place on our staff and contractors, as the key ingredient to being a successful impactful business; but we want to do more and have the best and most motivated team in the industry. We will ensure our Supply chain is responsible and made up of independent businesses – at least 80% and strive to work with as many fellow B Corp’s as possible.

There are some businesses we will refuse to work with, those who do not share our values. But there are many that do, and we want to work with them.

We recognise that we have simply reached the summit of one mountain with many still to climb. But we are on the journey, and excited to share this journey with so many clients and candidates.
