Russam is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and contributing to a lower-carbon economy. As a certified B Corporation since 2023, we meet independently verified standards of environmental and social responsibility, and we continuously monitor and improve our sustainability performance.

Our Environmental Measures.

To minimise our carbon footprint, Russam has adopted:

• A digital-first operating model, eliminating paper records and printed materials.
• Remote and hybrid working as default, reducing commuting and business travel.
• Virtual meetings as standard practice, with only essential in-person meetings taking place.
• Cloud-based systems, reducing local energy use and enabling efficient, low-carbon IT operations.
• A local-first sourcing approach, reducing travel associated with candidate and client engagement.
• Internal awareness initiatives encouraging sustainable behaviours.

These measures significantly reduce emissions associated with business travel, office energy consumption and materials use.

Carbon Reduction Goals.

Russam has set the following goals:

• Year-on-year reduction in overall operational emissions, focusing on business travel, commuting and energy use.
• Increased proportion of fully remote service delivery, further reducing travel-related emissions.
• Transition to lower-impact technology solutions, including further optimisation of cloud-based tools.
• Development of a formal Net Zero roadmap, aligned with B Corp recertification cycles and best-practice environmental reporting.

Monitoring and Reporting.

• Environmental performance is reviewed annually as part of our B Corp impact assessment.
• We track key sustainability indicators including travel emissions, digital infrastructure efficiency and resource consumption.
• Progress is reported internally and incorporated into ongoing operational planning.

Future Enhancements.

Russam will build on its current measures by:

• Strengthening supplier engagement to promote low-carbon practices.
• Introducing a formalised emissions-tracking framework.
• Publishing annual updates on our progress as part of our responsible-business commitments.
