Barbon Achieves More with the Help of Interim Managers.
Barbon Insurance Group is made up of a number of individual brands who offer a range of specialist insurance products and services the UK’s growing Private Rented Sector.
Russam GMS has been working with Barbon Insurance Group for a number of years to help them find high quality interim managers when the business required it.
Several Interim Managers have been recruited to work on a variety of projects across the company’s three main businesses – HomeLet, Letsure, and Rentshield – that provide tenant referencing and specialist insurance for lettings agents, tenants and landlords.
Recently the company was seeking senior level interim managers to take over a number of key roles whilst they recruited permanent people. The roles were in two different areas – firstly, interims with change management skills to help the organisation move towards one streamlined back office operation. Secondly, seasoned risk and compliance professionals to work closely with the regulator (FCA) and put in new systems and controls.
With interims in place, Barbon recruited permanent people as part of a carefully planned recruitment process. The company found that one of the biggest benefits of having the interims in situ was the fact that new employees had a great handover and were able to seamlessly pick up their roles.
