In 2022, we had the privilege of placing Greg Allen at Blind Veterans UK, a remarkable organisation founded in 1915 by Sir Arthur Pearson. Blind Veterans UK is dedicated to helping vision-impaired ex-Servicemen and women rebuild their lives after sight loss, providing rehabilitation, training, practical advice, and emotional support.

Blind Veterans UK embarked on an ambitious 10-year financial model in 2022, aiming to divest certain assets and develop other areas of activity. They needed an Interim Director of Resources with entrepreneurial flair to help commoditise their assets and support various organisational initiatives, particularly the research work aptly named Bravo Victor.

Greg Allen was the perfect candidate for this role, joining Blind Veterans UK in July 2022. His extensive experience and leadership skills quickly made a significant impact. By January 2023, Greg was appointed as Interim Chief Executive, guiding the organisation through a crucial transitional period as the longstanding CEO moved on.

Greg’s achievements at Blind Veterans UK have been remarkable, contributing to the organisation’s ongoing mission to support blind veterans and their families. We first met Greg when he was Chief Executive of Future Care Capital, a think tank focused on health and social care sectors, where we successfully recruited the Chair via Trustees Unlimited.
