Professor Caroline Glendinning

Before retirement, Caroline led the Department of Health-funded for applied social policy research programmes at the Universities of Manchester and York in the fields of gerontology, family care and adult social care. She was a founder member of the NIHR School for Social Care Research and the EU-wide research and policy group Eurocarers. Caroline has contributed to numerous collaborative comparative research projects on ageing, long-term care and family care. She has acted as Specialist Advisor to a House of Commons DCLG Select Committee Inquiry into adult social care funding and several European Commission Peer Review events on care-related policy issues.

For 12 years, Caroline had the privilege of serving as a Trustee of the UK Thalidomide Trust. She has also been a Trustee of Age UK Manchester and joint Chair of a small UK-based charity supporting education development in Eastern Cape, S Africa. Since 2019 she has chaired the East Manchester Community Association, which is responsible for Rainbow Haven, a long-established charity supporting refugees and asylum-seeking families in a deprived area of East Manchester.

Guillermo Donadini

Guillermo Donadini will serve as a Trustee on the Board and the Investment Sub-Committee. He is Chief Investment Officer for American International Group (AIG), General Insurance Division, contributing to the global business strategy by leading and developing the investment strategy for AIG’s $100 billion investment global portfolio in 49 countries.

He previously served in several investments’ senior leadership roles in AIG’s international operations in Latin America and Europe and leadership roles for ING Bank and MetLife. He has been an Executive Co-Sponsor for AIG UK “Gender Equality Matters” ERG since 2016, receiving the “2016 Outstanding Allies Award” and the “2017 Outstanding ERG Executive Sponsor Award”, and was a finalist for “Banking and Insurance Advocate of the Year” from Women in Finance Awards in 2018.
