It is easy to make plans for your business without knowing the days in the year that will be taken as leave and when people will need to change their work practices in order to be true to their faith and beliefs. 

Last week, it was Hajj (7th), Waqf al Arata and Eid al Adha and celebrations for our Islamic colleagues and a time for family celebrations and, for some, the pilgrimage to Mecca.  Fortunately, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development has created the inclusion calendar to support us in our journey to respect others’ spiritual days of significance. For example, there is a Sikh (the Birthday of Guru Har Krishan) and Hindu (Raksha Bandhan) days of festivities in the coming months.
