Exciting Opportunity to Become EOT Trustee Chair for a Leading Theme Park Specialist

We are recruiting on behalf of Europe’s largest theme park specialist, a multi-award-winning organisation renowned for Adding Happiness® by simplifying, streamlining, and making theme park tickets and packages more affordable. With over 1 million tickets sold annually and operations across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and The Netherlands, this company is a leader in its field.

Since its founding in 2002, the company has achieved remarkable growth, generating £200m in annual sales without external funding. Now, it is preparing for an exciting transition to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in Spring 2025, securing its independence, preserving its legacy, and rewarding its employees.

The organisation is seeking an Independent Trustee Chair to support this transition and guide the establishment of the EOT Board. This role is vital in protecting the interests of employee beneficiaries and shaping the governance framework to ensure long-term success.

Role Overview:

• Average time commitment: 2 days per month (including preparation).
• Compensation: Circa £16k annually.
• Term: 2 years.
• Key responsibilities include chairing and supporting the EOT Board, offering advice on employee ownership, and contributing to succession planning.

You will bring:

• Experience in the e-commerce sector and governance, particularly in employee ownership structures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to balance supportive challenge and consensus-building.
• A solid understanding of the legal duties and responsibilities of trustees.
