The Organisation
We are working with a consumer finance company expanding into Europe with an innovative new customer platform. We are looking for someone who knows the UK regulated financial landscape and is skilled in running highly complex projects & programmes involving multiple stakeholders and partner organisations.
Likely 6 months to 12 months and outside of IR35.
Role & Responsibilities
They need an Interim Programme Director to play a key role in overseeing and driving the success of this strategic initiative and specifically working on onboarding partners in the utility sector.
The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and effective execution of projects, manage program budgets and resources, and monitor and report on program performance. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices to enable the successful delivery of our initiatives. Main responsibilities will be;
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives from start to finish
- Bring together Existing Systems, Processes and In Process Hiring / Delivery Capability to Ensure Customer Satisfaction.
- Leading the development of new projects from inception through to delivery into a production environment, and to manage all IT capabilities Collaborate with stakeholders to define program objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
- Develop and maintain program timelines, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor program progress and proactively identify and address potential risks and issues
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all teams involved in the program
- Track and report on program performance metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
The Desired Candidate
- Proven experience as a Programme Director or similar role
- Experience in the consumer finance / lending market; and handling complex/tech projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; perhaps with “start-up” experience.
