The Organisation:
Russam is working with a well-established leader in the area of technical textiles/fabrics.
Role & Responsibilities:
They require an Interim Sales Director to transform the existing sales division to realise their potential. It will be a classic interim assignment of “10% strategy and 90% execution and delivery”. Currently they have a passive approach to sales and marketing (they are engineering lead) and the board feel an interim leader can help to address this challenge. It will involve understanding the make-up of the existing team; devising a new model to better serve their clients (current and future); implementing a new comps & bens scheme; motivating the team and looking to hire additional people and probably a permanent sales director in due course.
Likely a six month assignment, full-time and based in Yorkshire. It could be done on a hybrid basis.
The Desired Candidate:
- a strong background in sales & marketing / commercial roles
- technical sector background; textiles would be great if possible
- track record of restructure sales teams and driving through sales growth plans
- Experience putting in place new incentive schemes / comps plans would be desirable
- A leader who has great communication skills and a “doer” to join an already strong team and company performing well.
