The company is now backed by well-known institutional investors and preparing for its next phase of expansion. The culture is entrepreneurial, values-driven and mission-led, with an ambition to accelerate the transition to low-carbon heating in commercial and residential buildings.
Role & Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CEO on an interim basis (initial 3-6-month assignment), you will:

Marketing Assessment & Strategy – Conduct a rapid, objective review of all marketing activities, resources and agency partnerships; benchmark output against industry best practice and competitor performance.

Vision & Road-Map – Define a clear brand and go-to-market strategy that supports aggressive growth targets and positions the company as the authoritative voice in sustainable heating.

Team Leadership & Upskilling – Evaluate existing marketing talent, identify skill gaps and create a structure that enables agile, data-driven decision-making. Coach the incumbent team and recommend new roles (including, potentially, a permanent Marketing Director).

Execution Oversight – Prioritise and launch quick-win initiatives in demand generation, digital, content and communications while building foundations for long-term brand equity.

Stakeholder Management – Work closely with the CEO, Sales, Product and external investors to align marketing objectives with commercial goals and funding milestones.

Performance Analytics – Implement measurement frameworks and dashboards that track ROI and continuously refine activity based on data-led insights.
Desired Candidate Profile

Proven Track Record in transforming under-performing B2B or B2B2C marketing functions within technology, renewables, engineering or adjacent industrial sectors.

Strategic & Hands-On – Comfortable moving from high-level positioning to day-to-day execution, with a bias for action and measurable results.

Change Leadership – Demonstrated ability to assess, restructure and motivate cross-functional teams; adept at coaching and mentoring emerging talent.

Digital & Data Expertise – Deep knowledge of modern demand-generation tactics, marketing automation, SEO/SEM, content marketing and performance analytics.

Influencing Skills – Credible with C-suite executives, investors and technical stakeholders; able to build consensus quickly and articulate a compelling vision.

Interim or Consultancy Mind-Set – Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; brings a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to short-term assignments.

Values & Purpose Alignment – Genuine passion for sustainability and the role of clean technology in the energy transition.
Location: Hybrid working; periodic travel to the company’s headquarters for key workshops and executive sessions.
