The opportunity:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Property Director to join our client’s corporate team on an interim basis due to a sudden resignation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our client’s organization while providing invaluable expertise and leadership in the field of estate and facilities management. 

As a Property Director, you will play a pivotal leadership role in developing a new strategic direction for the estate. Key new development projects have been given the green light by the Board of Directors and third party support consultants needs to be settled down with a clear and appropriate understanding of the jobs at hand. Day to day direction of operations of our property portfolio will be also an important element of your role. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive property strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Managing property budgets, financial performance, and investment plans
  • Leading a team of property professionals, including building and FM  managers,  third party suppliers and external maintenance providers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in property management
  • Evaluating and negotiating existing and future lease agreements and other property-related contracts
  • Development of a strategic sourcing approach to procurement and supply tasks
  • Provide guidance and knowledge management for the implementation of all property related elements of the organisation’s proposed ESG strategy.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including tenants, vendors, and external partners
  • Implementing best practices in property maintenance, tenant relations, and property marketing

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in property estate management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience at a senior level
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • In-depth knowledge of property development, operations, and industry trends 
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles and budgeting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant professional qualifications in property management or a related field (desired)
