Russam is working with a specialist medical equipment manufacturing company based in the South of England.
Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Technical Client Consultant to act as the technical liaison between clients, business development, and operations teams. The roles supports client conversations with in-depth technical knowledge, helping translate client requirements into scalable manufacturing solutions. The focus is on enabling successful project delivery and long-term client partnerships through collaborative problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with engineering and operations to understand capabilities and frame them as solutions to client challenges.
• Lead and participate in client-facing discovery sessions, technical calls, and solution workshops.
• Translate complex technical concepts into commercially viable proposals that are easy to understand and compelling for decision-makers.
• Lead the technical side of RFQ/RFP responses, including feasibility analysis and pricing strategy, with input from technical and project delivery teams.
The Desired Applicant
• 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales, technical consulting, or account management, ideally within medical devices or life sciences.
• Proven background in medical manufacturing processes such as converting, cleanroom assembly, or packaging.
• Strong communicator — able to translate technical detail into clear, commercially relevant conversations.
• Confident discussing pricing, cost drivers, and scalable manufacturing strategies.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. ISO 13485, MDR, FDA) and how they impact client requirements.
• Skilled at managing technical client relationships from discovery through to production.
• Comfortable leading technical reviews and cross-functional discussions.
• Willing and able to travel internationally to support client meetings, technical workshops, and site visits.
