After 25 years, Sir Stuart Etherington has stepped down as Chief Executive from NCVO. Karl Wilding, formerly director of public policy and volunteering, has become the Chief Executive.

At his retirement party on 16 September 2019, Stuart talked about having our collective responsibility as the guardians of civil society and for charities to not just inwards, but outwards, for the benefit of those that they serve.
