Russam is delighted to announce that James Priestley has been permanently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Kensa, following his successful tenure as Interim CEO.

James was originally placed at Kensa by Russam to provide experienced leadership and direction during an important period for the business. His permanent appointment reflects the positive impact he has already made and will provide continuity as Kensa enters its next phase of growth.

Kensa is a leading UK manufacturer and installer of ground source heat pumps. James brings extensive experience in guiding complex organisations through growth, transformation and operational change.

Before joining Kensa, he spent eight years in the circular economy, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of recycling and resource recovery business Enva. Prior to this, James held several senior leadership positions at Renewi plc, including Managing Director of its Specialities Division, where he oversaw businesses across the UK and Europe.

His earlier career also included roles with RGIS, Tesco, British Airways and Ford.

James’s leadership experience, particularly within sustainability, recycling and resource management, positions him strongly to advance Kensa’s ambitions and support the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating.
