The Henry Smith Charity appoint two trustees
The Henry Smith Charity was established in 1628 by Henry Smith, a businessman working in the City of London who left land and money for the relief of the poor. Since then, the Charity has honoured the spirit of Henry Smith’s will, working to combat disadvantage and meet the challenges and opportunities facing people in need throughout the UK. Nearly four centuries after they were first established, The Henry Smith Charity is one of the largest independent grant-making charities in the UK..
Due to retirement, The Henry Smith Charity were looking to appoint two new trustees; one with specific expertise in commercial property investments and another to serve on their Kindred Committee. They also wanted to take this opportunity to bring further diversity to the board, and were particularly keen to receive applications from candidates in based in the North of England, and those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities. Trustees Unlimited were delighted to support The Henry Smith Charity with their search and we were delighted with the excellent appointments of Faisel Rahman and George Roberts.
